This certainly puts a kind of psychological stress on the main hero, which was intensified by another person, so the fall of the tragic hero in this play is unusually associated not with inner ambitions of him, but with successful plan of his enemy.
Overall, this is really difficult to identify the more significant outcomes of one of the two types of analysis – sociological and psychological. The judgments, which can be built about the main hero from both of them are really important for evaluating nature and character of Othello. In the play social factors and his emotions are so closely related, that it seems not easy to strictly distinguish between them. Still, due to emotional power and at the same time weakness of Othello, psychological analysis could be more appropriate.
