Custom essays on Agitational Communication

It is necessary to focus on the development of public organizations that could provide for women assistance and help in legislative and financial areas. It is not a secret that many women have limited employment opportunities just because they do not know their own rights. In such a situation, consultations of professional lawyers employed by public organizations could be very helpful. At the same time, in order to organize active social protest against discrimination or violation of rights of women, it is sometimes necessary to organize strikes and take other actions, which involve some social disobedience to protect the position of women. Naturally, such protests or strikes will need financial resources and again public organizations supporting women’s rights and equal opportunities could assist and fund such social actions.
Finally, it should be said that current efforts of women and various public organizations are absolutely insufficient to provide for women equal opportunities. The position of women is still discriminated and oppressed. This is why it is necessary to undertake more efficient social actions and, above all, it is necessary to change the existing biases and stereotypes in relation to women in the contemporary society.
Thus, taking into account all above mentioned, it is possible to conclude that the discrimination of women in the workplace persists. In spite of a considerable progress of the feminist movement in the second half of the 20th century, the discrimination of women in the workplace environment has never been totally eliminated. In actuality, women suffer from the discrimination in the workplace which manifests itself through unequal wages, job division on male and female jobs and other forms of discrimination in the workplace. The discrimination in the workplace is extremely dangerous because women suffer from the widening gap in their social standing compared to men. To put it more precisely, the major problem of women today is their relative indifference to their rights and opportunities. In fact, they believe that their position is unchangeable and the gains made in the course of the second half of the 20th century are sufficient to maintain the equal position compared to men.

However, this belief contributes to the passivity of women that can undermine the achievements of the agitational movement of the 1960s – 1970s, which made the breakthrough in the position of women in the society. In such a context, women should renew the agitational movement and start active social protests to improve their current position and eliminate the discrimination in the workplace environment. The latter can be achieved through the attraction of public attention to problems of women in the modern society, including the problem of discrimination in the workplace. However, the agitational movement and social protests alone cannot tackle the problem of discrimination in the workplace environment. The agitational movement should be backed up with educational programs and promotion of the concept of gender equality and prevention of discrimination at all levels.
